October 25, 2008: I love these books!! I read "Twilight" in one day, rushed through "New Moon" to get back to Edward and Bella, nearly fainted reading "Eclipse" (my favorite chapter in the entire series is "Fire and Ice" in this book), and couldn't put down Breaking Dawn. It's the only series of books that I've recommended, without reserve, to every reader I come in contact with. It transcends reader-types. I'm 61, my daughter and daughter-in-law (both in their early 30's, and their friends (whom learned about it from me, of course) all adore it too..it's their favorite series also. While my son and son-in-laws don't appreciate me "stealing their wifes," my husband, while not swooning certainly (as women obviously do), really enjoyed reading it too.Although there are many reasons why I adore this series...out of this world romance, forbidden love (this is as good as Romeo & Juliet in that area), drama, fun and excitement, etc....the top of that list has to be that Stephenie Meyer is the only author who has ever made me feel that I, too, could, want to, and even should, write a book myself! Her style of writing is such a joy to read. She is able to use non-human characters to describe the most unique aspects of the human experience, much better than any other "normal" characters I ever read about.Twilight is AWESOME!by Ducky

October 25, 2008: I love this saga. I've always liked vampire novels that focus more on their way of life (such as it is), than the gore that they supposedly engage in. Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful writer, creating situations that are realistic despite the fantastical side of the story. This is one amazing saga, and I highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to have some "light" reading, but without the usual drivel that light novels come with.
